Thanksgiving in Rochester

Thank the Gardner's for having us over. We had a great time and tons of good food. Eliza loved the attention and we loved the company. We missed the Carter clan, but are so excited to see you all at Christmas.

Eliza's Blessing

We blessed Eliza in church yesterday. We had decided earlier to do it in Rochester so we could invite Brad's school friends. We were skeptical that they would come but they did! We had 9 non-members come to our ward. It was great. We had cake and ice cream at our apartment after church and most of our close friends came to that too. We had 20 people (including 4 babies) at our place for cake, it was a blast. I feel like we have done our missionary work for the year and can now take a break.

Eliza wore the dress that mom made 25 years ago. It fit her great and she looked like a princes. Brad gave her a beautiful blessing and she put in her two cents as well. A very happy day for the Hyatt family.

I didn't make the cake... that would have been too much.

Happy Halloween

What can I say, we like to dress up our baby. She is getting big and starting to fit in her clothes better. We also hit up the local Goodwill and made some great finds on baby clothes.

The wedding dress seemed appropriate for Halloween since it was orange. Sadly, we had already taken off the orange flower headband. White sweater came from Goodwill and is a little long in the sleeves still.

Chubby tummy.

Cute little Eliza-bear.

...all of them.
What did you dress up as?

Eliza's One Month Old

I posted this on my blog as well, sorry if you read both.

Look whose getting chubby!

Tell me that's not a smile :) Now do you believe me?
Here are the chubby cheeks and the belly!
You can see she's grown from the 1 week old bath.

(oh my... that belly; it must be the way she's sitting ;)

She still sleeps a lot. She loves the swing but will sleep in her bed too. She is a good eater and lets me sleep pretty well at night.
We took her out to eat for the first time a few days ago. Babies get so much more attention here. Strangers want to know her name and how old she is and tell us she's beautiful, which we know of course. You just don't get that in Utah; too many babies there I guess.
Anyway, she is a great baby and we couldn't love her more.

We miss you guys! It's awfully quiet here during the days.

Orbit

We have been watching a busy squirrel who is bringing walnuts from the neighbor's tree, along the fence, and "squirreling" them into a hole in our chimney. Noah has named him "Orbit".Orbit does not seem to even notice the backyard guard dogs!

We are discussing how or if we can use the wood burning stove which uses the chimney, and Brad did such a splendid job stacking the fire wood. Any thoughts?
