Just for you Hannah.

See my hair!!! I haven't worn it down yet. but you get the idea. it will most likely fade quickly. I want to see your newer hair cut!
Just for an update on Sydney's life.. She just aced her Anatomy Lab midterm, so ask her any muscle or bone, brain etc etc... She is enjoying Mandarin and she wishes she could just study that. She is behind in her fitness and wellness major, but maybe she will go summer term to get ahead. She likes taking fluff classes though, which is what caused this whole problem. She is excited for her birthday, she will then be 20 and old. She is single, and likes having the freedom of being Hot and single.. haha. She can't wait for Thanksgiving so she can have a break. And she is anxiously awaiting her birthday gift from Taiwan! wink wink! Love to all!! enjoy reading about my current life!

The Amazing Maize Maze

Brad and I went on a date this weekend even though there is a big test on Monday; we wanted to get out of the house. We actually wanted to go with another couple or two but we ended up going alone and loved it. We went to Long Acre Farms and the Amazing Maize Maze. We have been trying to go for a few weeks now and it always seems to rain or we are too tired. It rained on us a little but I thought the weather was perfect for a night in the corn field. There were mailboxes with pieces of the map on them scattered throughout the maze, you could tape then on to a paper and find your way around. I thought it would be lame but it was very exciting to find a mailbox. We did it in a little over an hour with no cheating or shortcutting! Then we shared an ice cream cone like a couple of kids. It was very fun to be out in the cold wind with Brad by my side.

We got cheeseburgers on the way home and now Brad is back to studying for the rest of the night so I am blogging and such. Just wanted to share some pictures and love with you all! Hope you all have an excellent weekend!

(Secretly Brad really wants to be a farmer)

Weekend in St. George

I really hope this works! So far so good. Most of you already know, but John and I ran in the St. George Marathon last Saturday. Here is Proof, don't we look happy! Actually, it was a great day. The weather was perfect, clear and cool. I ran a new PR (personal record) of 4 hours 11 minutes. John ran his own PR (since it was his first) of 4 hours 26 minutes! We ran most of it together, up to about mile 16. My quads have almost recovered (I should be able to go downstairs by tomorrow) and there is only one toenail that will probably come off. Many thanks to Mark, Sarah, and Dad for coming along for moral support, and especially John's boss for setting us up in beautiful, affordable (free) lodgings -and cooking us breakfast!!

clearing up the confusion

I just wanted to make it clear that this is NOT Ned's girlfriend.

Car Theft

Monday morning I went out to my car on my way to work to find the radio missing. At first I was really confused. I thought maybe Brad had taken it out or something. Then I tried to remember if the door was locked when I opened it. I am pretty sure it was, so then I started looking around. It was then that I noticed the window had been jimmied out about an inch. I was pretty disgusted by then, someone had been sitting in my front seat and they stole my radio, then locked the door when they left; how rude. So now we are debating whether to replace it or not. If our car is that easy to break into, and we park it 200 feet away in an unlit parking lot, is it really worth it to replace it? Plus, the entire console is gone so we'd have to get that replaced.
I guess we can do more talking in the car now so that's a plus. But tell us what you think, and we'll try to keep you updated.

P.S. The birds came out of the nest and it looks like the parents are already nesting again, I might have to stop them before this gets out of hand.

ok so family.... I have just applied for a study abroad in China through the Dance department at BYU. It's in Modern Dance and it's for this next spring. I want to go more than anything! I just want to inform you all of my decision and ask for your prayers and support if I get accepted. I think it could be an amazing and exciting oppurtunity.... if anyone wants to help sponsor me.. i'll accept donations and advertise for you in China haha! I just hate how I get so excited when i don't even know if I'm going yet. so please pray for me! Thanks family. I love you all!

More Baby Birds

Here are the next few pictures I took of the developing babies. They grew so fast I hardly had time to stop and take a picture. Here they still have wispy feathers. You can pick out a beak in the back left corner and a wing in the front; the rest is all fluff.

But give them a few more days and they look like this...

Just a couple of birds in the nest, you could never guess that they have never been out of it, or flown at all.

And, of course, the proud parents are enjoying a bit of play time now that the babies are grown up a bit. The dad is the one with the orange cheeks, he is also the noisier of the two.

So that's it for pictures right now. We are very excited to see them venture out of the nest and fly, should be any day now.
